Contouring Makeup for Oval Shape Face
/If you’ve ever looked in the mirror and wondered how to accentuate your oval-shaped face, then contouring makeup is the answer. Contouring is a great way to bring out your features and give yourself an overall more structured look. It can be tricky to master, but with some practice and patience, you can easily learn how to use it effectively on any face shape!
While both round and oval faces feature a round jawline, oval faces are longer and tend to have wider foreheads. Use blush to give your face a more rounded appearance by giving it depth and definition. For a well-rounded appearance that highlights your greatest features, dab your preferred blush on the apples of your cheekbones and even below your chin (just believe us on this one). Additionally, because an oval face is naturally symmetrical, you can concentrate on contouring just beneath the cheekbones to highlight your features.
Contouring for oval faces involves emphasizing certain areas of the face while de-emphasizing others. To begin, apply a light foundation all over your skin so that everything looks even before adding any other products. Then choose two shades of bronzer or contour powder—one darker than your natural skin tone (for shading) and one lighter (for highlighting). Use an angled brush or sponge applicator when applying these products as this will help create sharper lines along the edges of each area being worked on.
Start by creating shadows around where you want definition; this means using a slightly darker shade directly under cheekbones, down either side of the nose bridge, at temples near the hairline as well as jawline below ears - basically anywhere in which there are natural hollows/shadows already present! Next, take a lighter color product & sweep across the forehead center above the brows upwards towards temple points & also along the chin line from the center outward towards earlobes – this creates the illusion that those areas are raised up higher than surrounding parts giving more structure/definition overall appearance wise! Finally, blend both colors together seamlessly using circular motions until no harsh lines remain visible – remember less is always best when it comes to making sure the final result looks natural yet still defines facial features properly without looking too “done up” or overdone altogether!
With some time spent perfecting technique, contouring makeup for oval-shaped faces will become second nature allowing them to make the most of their unique facial structure every single day they put their beauty routine into action!
